As things stand, there is no date set for the 2025 Finalissima. It’s due to take place next summer, but the newly-revamped Club World Cup, which will feature 32 teams, limits when the showpiece event can take place.
The 2022 instalment of the Finalissima – which was played at Wembley Stadium, and won 3-0 by Argentina – meant the the 2025 fixture was supposed to be played in South America. The Argentinian Football Association wanted the event in Buenos Aires, although they will not get their wish.
As per Gaston Edul, the 2025 Finalissima will take place in either Europe of the United States, which an exact location still to be determined by FIFA.

There’s not doubt that Spain would love the match to take place closer to home. There was even a suggestion that it could happen at the newly-renovated Spotify Camp Nou, thus allowing a Lionel Messi vs Lamine Yamal match-up in Barcelona’s home stadium. However, that would surely be unlikely – albeit, not impossible.
